Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Picpic app and of the picpic.day website. By using Picpic, you accept them.

The service

Picpic lets you create event albums, invite people with a link or a QR code and gather photos and videos in them. A free plan lets you start; the event pass (per album) and the Picpic+ subscription extend the quotas and the retention period and add videos, as described in the app.

Your account

A username is enough to create an account. A guest account is tied to your phone only: link Apple or Google to find it elsewhere. You are responsible for the use of your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and videos you send. You allow us to store them, create previews and playback copies and show them to the members of the albums concerned, only to provide the service and for as long as they are kept.

You confirm you have the right to share what you send and respect the image rights of the people photographed. Forbidden content includes, among others, illegal, violent or hateful content, sexual content involving minors, and content that invades other people’s privacy.

Moderation

An album’s owner and its admins can remove content and members. You can report illegal content to contact@picpic.day: we may remove it, suspend or delete the account concerned, and cooperate with the authorities.

Purchases

Purchases are billed by Apple or Google under their terms. The Picpic+ subscription (monthly or yearly) renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The event pass applies to one album, for one year, with storage limited to 25 GB at present; its owner or any of its members can buy it, for the whole album. Picpic+ includes storage shared by all your albums, limited to 100 GB at present; the app warns you as it fills up. Refunds follow the store’s policy.

Album lifetime

Albums are kept according to their plan (see the privacy policy), then deleted with their files. Picpic is not a backup service: download the originals you want to keep.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Picpic running continuously and securely, without being able to guarantee it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for the loss of content you did not keep a copy of.

Ending use

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend an account that does not respect these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, write to us first at contact@picpic.day: we will look for an amicable solution. The protective rules of your country of residence still apply.
